A slow moving piece of public art. People passing by won’t even realise it slowly changes, its only seeing the final stop motion that reveals the movement.
Really cool giant globe made of loads of small OLED screens. Great installation. Just wish the lights in the room where off.
Trailer for Amon Tobin’s all new, highly ambitious, breathtaking ‘ISAM’ live show. Tobin will be stepping away from previous DJ centric performances, and instead will be providing a large scale live audio/visual experience to select cities around the world. Designed in conjunction with Blasthaus, VSquared Labs, Vita Motus Design, Leviathan and others.
Looks amazing.
Just Cause 2 - Impact-death visualisation
‘info-vis’ is getting a tad overcrowded, but this is both morbid AND lovely; two adjectives that aren’t used enough together from my point of view!
The video (created by Jim Blackhurst) plots impact-death scatter-point locations of 11.3 million free-roaming players, and clustered groups of data-points even allow for skeletal landmarks and buildings to become visible.
Its like Photosynth for dead people. Brilliant idea. I’d love to see it for other games. GTA IV spring to mind straight away.
I love me some Neutraface and now House Industries have team upped with Heath Ceramics to make this delicious house numbers. If only I didn’t rent… maybe I can make sure I always rent the same house number.
Great visual representation of site traffic. You can even get details for each city. I think it looks stunning and not a drop of Flash.
Using the iPad 2’s camera to track the users head movements a pseudo 3d effect is create. I’d love to implement this for a project.
